Life teaches you a lot of things throughout. Every moment has a lesson in it that we can grasp and hold for our whole lives. But among all lessons, there is one lesson that life taught me in the hardest way. It took me years to realize this.
The toughest lesson that life taught me is that LIFE IS EASY.
Yes. That’s true. We always keep thinking that we face so many issues and troubles. We think that we can’t survive that.
We also get depressed at a breakup or a failure or a rejection.
At every point of these experiences, we feel that life is very tough. It’s almost impossible to survive the chaos and storms of life.
But we all are wrong here. Life is not tough. Life is easy.
It’s just that Present always looks tougher than past. The reason for it is The Proximity Effect. The objects that are near to us look larger than the ones far away. Similarly, the incidents happening at the current point of time look harsh, troublesome and more devastating than the experiences we had in past.
Let me show you how this happens.
Think of the moment when you experienced your first failure. That was the time when you had lost almost all the courage, and you wanted to just shut everything. That day, you cried a lot. Maybe you screamed in your pillow, or maybe you punched into the wall. Those moments surely made you feel that you can’t do anything in your life.
But now think whether that experience was as catastrophic as you thought at that time? Think of an alternative solution for that problem that you faced. It was always there. Just that we were blinded by those tears and fears in our eyes that we couldn’t see how easy it was to get out.
Life is just like solving a puzzle. When you start, it looks too tough.
You get tensed and shut yourself from everything. You stop even trying to solve it. But then, at one point- you decide enough is enough. You just sit straight, look at it from a third person’s point of view, and start putting each piece at its right place.
And in the end, it is sorted. It gets solved.
Solving a puzzle won’t be called- tough. Similarly, life isn’t tough. It’s easy. Thinking life as the toughest thing you ever saw won’t help you sort it out.
But thinking that life is easy will help you do wonders.
We all learn this lesson quite late in our lives. The sooner we learn, the happier we stay in present.
